This listing is for the NINE beaded American Feathers Hat Bands designed by Quackgrass Sally pictured.
You won't see another band like these on someone else's hat.
They are handmade from the beading, to the adjustable ends, and even some of the glass bead keepers!
They are designed have the American Feather design on the opposite side of your feather.
Quackgrass uses Swarovski crystal beads throughout her designs. They are often used as the stars on the American Feather. They are light catchers that are certain to catch your attention in and out of the arena!
If you love one of a kind art work, supporting Veterans, and ranching families, these beautiful hatbands are a great way to share the story behind your American Feather!

I painted the first American Feather almost exactly 4 years ago when I moved back to my home state of Montana in 2015.
One of the first people to see that feather was our new neighbors, Elanna, also known as Quackgrass Sally, and her husband, Larry.
They were also the first to share their story behind the feather. Larry, is a Vietnam Veteran, and Elanna, who had been widowed at a young age, just as I had been.
The commonalities in our stories surprised us all, and we have been fast friends ever since. I am so grateful for their friendship and support.
Elanna is also an artist of many talents, but she is especially known for her beadwork.
If you are a long time fan of American Feathers for a while, you will probably remember her hat bands and the beaded feathers!
Occasionally, Elanna gets the chance to make me special pieces, like this incredible beaded hat band.
They are all one of a kind designs she created, just like the feathers I paint, and another way to share the story behind your feather.
On that note, I'd like to add, fellow makers please respect her work and do not duplicate her designs.
The hat band also has a Quackgrass Sally hand made glass bead silder for adjusting the fit of your hat band as well.

All American Feathers are currently made to order. Due to the amazing support and demand, there is a wait as many orders are placed at the same time. After you place your order via Etsy you should recieve a confirmation that includes your ship date. You can also see the estimated time it will take to ship on the Etsy listing before ordering.
